Raipur, CGnews: At least seven employees were killed and few others seriously injured on Jan 12 afternoon in an accident inside a steel unit on the outskirts of the the Chhattisgarh capital here, in a tragic accident at Siltara based Godawari Ispat Ltd. , when some hot steel came down on the victims.
 
It is panic that charred bodies were beyond recognition. Police have registered a case under Section 304A IPC against the steel unit management for their negligence and have begun a detailed probe into the accident, Y.K.S. Thakur, inspector general said.

The deceased were employees of Bhilai based Mohit Constructions owned by Mohit Verma. The deceased were identified as Beduram Sahu  and Balmiki Janghel of Kohka in Bhilai, Sudama Sahu of Dhamdha, Ishwar Patel, Shyam Sunder Patel and Amir Chand Janghel of Khursipar in Bhilai. These six killed inside the factory itself while the seventh deceased Rupendra Janghel of Khursipar, succumbed at Ambedkar Hospital.

Three other critically injured are Uttam Nishad, Neelkant Thakur and Parasram Thakur.   

It is alleged that the dust separation cell was cleaned by Bhilai based Mohit Constructions instead of trained and professional laborers.

Factory management has declared an immediate compensation of Rs 50,000 to the next of kin of the deceased.
