Raipur, CGnews: Political atmosphere in the city and adjoining areas warms up with the expectation that forthcoming Assembly elections might be held in accordance with the redefined constituencies. The Central Committee for Political Affairs (CCPA) recently gave its nod to the same.
Now Raipur gets the gift of four assembly seats. It means twin BJP MLAs Brijmohan and Munat will find two more partners in their area. They have to face legal encroachment of two more MLAs in their area. Future will say: It will be beneficial for both or not. People generally think that division will give fruitful result.
The delimitation would affect the district’s politics to a larger extent. Accordingly, the political leaders have been making efforts to form new political equations in the changed atmosphere. |

Rural Assembly area was the biggest assembly area of the Chhattisgarh with about 4 lakh voters after including 26 more villages. BJP won last two elections with record votes. Due to redefining of constituencies, who will suffer, no one can say.
After omitting Mandirhasod and including few area of rural, two new assembly segments Raipur-3 and Raipur-4 are made.
Presently Satyanarayan Sharma of Congress represents Mandirhasod. Naturally he became busy in the searching of his area in the new two constituencies. He may contest from Raipur-4.
